COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - As cleanup begins in West Virginia after catastrophic flooding there, Red Cross volunteers from South Carolina are aiding in those recovery efforts.

Fifteen South Carolina volunteers are in West Virginia helping with food needs, shelter placement and basic medical care. Red Cross South Carolina's Senior Disaster Program Manager, Clyde Roberts, said West Virginia was one of many states that sent volunteers here during October's historic flood - and it's time now to return the favor.

"We are all one Red Cross. Wherever the need is, wherever we have the assets to assist people, our primary focus is assisting clients. It's what we do," said Roberts.

The volunteers will be in West Virginia for two to three weeks.
